Indonesia is the second most biodiverse country in the world, probably because it is spread out over 17,000 islands and is home to an incredible array of fish and bird species and over 19,000 plant species.

This pink flower that looks like a coral and a Hibiscus at the same time mostly grows in the western part of Indonesia up to Thailand and Vietnam while also being a European and South American flower, parallel to the Parakeet flower. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant and does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C (50°F).

We found these flowers growing in shades of Yellow. This perennial herb also can be found spread in almost all regions of Indonesia and other southern regions of Asia like Vietnam and Thailand. Unlike most species of plants that require the use of pollinators for pollination like aquatic flowers, Parakeetflowers are well capable of pollinating themself.

These types of Lilies mostly grow in the southwestern islands of Indonesias biodiversity. There are two types of Lilis: females and males, the female flowers open first and after a period of time, they close. Once closed the males open to release pollen. This delay between male and female flowers prevents self-pollination. Pollination is mostly done by flies, bees or beetles that are attracted to the flowers by their amazing odour.
