Equipment and Tools
One small shovel
A pair of gardening gloves
One pruner
A pair of Scissors (Optional)
Making Space
Cleaning the weeds first was not optimal, because the bushes around the gardening spot had grown too much into the small space. Instead, we cut down branches and removed garden plants that were standing in the way, by using the pruner and started to clear the Nettles. First cutting down the nettles is important because Nettle stings can be itchy, and you may feel a stinging or burning sensation.
Tip:
When clearing the weeds, try to pull them out with the roots or cut them at the lowest point so that the weeds can't re-grow.
Cutting and Pulling Out The Weeds Carefully
When you clear weeds that can also look like grass and unnecessary, invasive plants out of your garden you need to be careful that the roots don't get stuck in the soil. As we were doing this we recognized the old chive that we planted as a cooking herb in the past.
Digging Up The Soil
Similar to digging up shrubs, the Soil is perfect to remove a plant but also to plant other plants so that the roots can grow without problems. But the soil you dig up also needs to be stable to better establish the plant. Once we used the best natural weed-killing methods, the weeds were cleared. We dug up, using the Showel the firm-formed soil that formed over the year and made it perfect for plants to grow in.
Final Result
After removing the weeds and refreshing the soil the herb garden was ready for planting herbs, flowers and other plants. The only herb we have let grow in out garden was the chive.
